You called that morning
And say you’ll be embarking
On a journey to study
In a faraway land a distant place
It dawn on me that you’ll be leaving.
I was scared and filled with thoughts
Of what life we’ll be without you
Not been around me cause
Is with you I rather be
Now you say you are going.
Am happy for you
But am worried
Long distance
Over a wide space
Too hard to live without
Then came the d-day
You called to me
To see off to the park
I wept and hold on to you
In tight embrace never want to let go
But you left with assurance
That all we be well
That you’ll always call from time to time
Then you say farewell
As I look the bus go till is seen no more.
