We live in times where social media
Is the most pervasive force in our lives
Whether you participate in it or not.
It’s almost impossible to avoid
Its pull, and maybe you don’t need to
But your validation, your sense of self
How you think about your actions

Sometimes
When I’ve taken a controversial decision
Or taken an action that is risky
I say don’t give me the feedback
Because it will distort my perception of the reality
I want to make sure
That I’ve spent time checking my intentions
Auditing my actions and then taking responsibility
For my own decisions not deciding whether
It’s good or bad based on the approval of people.
