OH GIVE US HOME

With a man
Whose fear of God
Was instilled right from infancy
In growing up to become teen
And then still running with
The same fear of God into adulthood

With a woman
Whose far of God
Was instilled right from infancy to adulthood
Not just a mere shadow of herself
One who knows what she wants out of life

With a man
That has a heart and feeling for human
Never a heart of an animal
So crafty, wicked, and selfishly centered
A man whose hot temper is tame to the core

With a woman
Who knows antennal is so sharp
To detect a slight signal of domestic violence
So fast and to move away
From such an object of violence
Not minding whose is talking

With a man
Well nurtured, groomed and matured
Not a boy in a man’s body
Who dwells and treats his sisters with ladies around’
In love, respect, tenderness and concern

With a woman
Who is not drunk with the wine of religion
Who still stays in an abusive relationship
Even when the signal of domestic violence is so glaring and clear
Leading to death has flashed her severally

With a godly father and mother
Who will rise the next generation
Of domestic violence-free society
Making the whole world a better place to live in
And it all begins with you and I

FOR THAT WOMAN AT INTERNATIONAL WOMAN'S DAY

To that woman who never settle for less

Who knows her worth and go for it

Whose head is adorn of wisdom

Who stand against the odds of life and time

She exhume great intellect within her

She is well nurtured and well manner

She got the world standing at still

When she talks and moves

She is an embodiment of not just outside

But of a beauty inside that springs wells of knowledge

Her kind is rare

As she is a rare gem

Polished after the similitude of the palace

As her place is not found among mean men

But she rules in her kingdom dominating places

To that woman who outshines

The flirtiness found around her in the world

Not meant for everyone but for that special breed

To such a woman who desires the cheers of glass rise

To wish her well

And a happy international women's day

To a life carrier to a mother

And sister a lover of mankind and nature

Happy blissful and graceful women's day to you.

WILL YOU BE FOUND AMONG THESE?

Every woman wants this and wants that
But few are ready for this and for that
Is beyond the beauty of their outer part
But lies within the beauty of the inner part
Will you be among these

Are you a woman
Who society has to shouted down on
On your essence of living the life you want
Just all because you are a woman
Meant for a second class citizen position

Or are you a woman
Whose adornment is not meant
For the kitchen or the bedroom alone
In becoming a baby machine placed in a factory
To rear and nurture the children

Will you be among these?
The high fliers in their respective
Field of life endeavor
Making things happen
Not a lazy full housewife kind of woman

Parading herself has been married
Flaunting her signs of being married
Will you be among these?
That we define right from the start
What she wants out of life and marriage

Not just a mere adornment
Of embodiment of beauty
Meant for the kitchen and bedroom
Restricted within the confines of the home
Will you be among these

The one who is a problem fixer, not the creator
The one who is vest at making decisive decisions
She knows what it takes to run
Not a company or firm but a conglomerate
A maker and shaker of industries
Will you as a woman yes you be among these?

IT TAKES TWO TO FLY A PLANE

If he is not response enough
To foot his bill and run is life
He isn't fit to be married
Don't marry him
Because an empty hands can not build

If he is not skilled
And lack the wither all to be a man
Not a just a man in bed
But an all round man
Whose got what it takes to be called one

If she is not working
Nor learning an hand work
And earning to foot bills
Don't marry her as an idle hands
Cant feed an hungry stomach

Because it takes two to fly a plane
Is a joint work to make
The marriage union work
As a good body cannot foot the bills
It takes collective effort to build a sweet home

AN OLD FLAME

We choose to refuse
We choose to wake up
We failed and tie down
We never see from the eye sight
But burnt by an old flame

That refuses to die
Then awaken by the past memories
So tied with the whole euphoria
When cast our purples eyes to its shadow
An old flame

Worried and at a crossroad
The purpose lingers
And dream kept one awake
All night as sleep embark on a French leave
An old flame so gone but its footprint lingers

With its scares left
Its print on the surface of the wall
Like a shadow it refuses to leaves
The sands of time of life and future
An old flame hmmm life has it way of coming back
