Expression of love is forgiveness
But often forgiveness is very difficult
No matter what forgive
That is the essence of love
When an action done
By another person is misinterpreted
Emotion may be deep-rooted
This is especially true if one
Has allowed thought of the act to persist
Hatred and distrust
Are common by products of such thought
And far too frequently
There is a desire to revenge
To get even with those who committed the act
Forgiveness takes guts!
Whether you are the one
Asking forgiveness or the one forgiving
It takes special guts when
You forgive someone who does not respond to your forgiving
