One of the greatest expressions
Of love is forgiveness
But often forgiving is very difficult
No matter what forgive
That is the essence of love
When an action done
By another person is misinterpreted
Emotions may be deep rooted
This is especially true if
One has allowed thought of the act to persist
Hatred and distrust
Are common by product of such thoughts
And far too frequently
There is a desire to revenge
To get even with those who committed the act
Forgiveness takes guts!
Whether you are the one
Asking for forgiveness or the one forgiving
It takes special gifts
When you forgive someone
Who does not respond to your forgiving?
